RESIDENTIAL SOUND MITIGATION SERVICES
Phoenix, AZ
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
The City of Phoenix Aviation Department uses Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) money and airport revenues
to help soundproof single family owner occupied homes that are impacted by aircraft noise generated at Phoenix
Sky Harbor Airport and are within a 65 DNL noise area or higher. Since 1999, CSDA has provided Program Management
Services for the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Residential Sound Mitigation Services. CSDA oversees the management
of ten sub-consultants, as well as the Airport's consultants, and acts as the Airport's Owner Representative during
construction. The project team coordinates with City building, bidding, aviation, and fiscal departments, the FAA,
local community groups, and the homeowners to ensure the project's progress. To date, an estimated 2,400 single
family units located within eligible communities surrounding the airport have received sound assistance.
