Since 1995, CSDA has served as the prime architect for thirteen phases of the San Jose International Airport
Acoustical Treatment (ACT) Program. The goal of the ACT Program is to improve the quality of life for people
living near the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport by reducing aircraft-related noise in their homes
to meet Federal and State noise standards through the installation of acoustical treatments at no cost
to the property owner. Typical acoustical treatments include door and window replacements, weather stripping,
attic insulation and air conditioning. CSDA has provided program management, architectural design, acoustical
and mechanical/electrical consulting design, code issue identification, community outreach, construction
administration and Quality Assurance Inspection services for three churches, a school, a historic structure,
and more than 900 homes, including more than 30 historical homes.
