MT. DIABLO K-12 SCHOOLS
NEW CLASSROOMS AND MODERNIZATION
Concord, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek, CA
Mt. Diablo Unified School District
The Mount Diablo Unified School District contracted CSDA to provide planning/programming and architectural
services to modernize ten schools (over 586,000 SF). With an estimated overall construction budget of $26 Million,
CSDA provided architectural design services to replace old portable classrooms with new permanent prototype
classrooms, technology upgrades, improved lighting, surface repairs, roofing, improved ADA accessibility,
and improved school security systems. Our services have included coordination and meetings with facilities staff,
site faculty, and administration. The projects require working with state and local jurisdictions. CSDA's close
relationships with State Agencies such as Division of the State Architect, Office of Public School Construction,
and California Department of Education allowed us to facilitate the State approval process seamlessly. CSDA is
working in concert with a Construction Manager on some of the projects and directly with the District on others.
