ST. PATRICK'S SEMINARY & UNIVERSITY
MASTER PLAN AND RENOVATIONS
Menlo Park, CA
CSDA prepared a master plan determining how the facilities on this 42-acre historical site could best meet
the changing missions and needs of the seminary. A unification of the entire campus within a core vision was
recommended as well as the inclusion of American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, seismic upgrades,
and the incorporation of new technological and educational facilities.
Following the master plan, CSDA was retained to design a wide variety of renovations. The renovation project
was divided into four primary phases to allow continued usage and occupancy throughout construction.
CSDA provided seismic retrofit and upgrades of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Asbestos/lead paint abatement and window and roof repairs were also included in the scope of the project.
An important component of this project was designing the necessary renovations while considering both the
historical importance and architectural quality of the Seminary's chapel.
